Castore Sportswear
I’ve been told by a very reliable source that premium sportswear brand Castore (who sponsor Andy Murray and Rangers) are in talks to take over the kit deal once the Umbro deal expires.

Just had a look at some of their gear and it seems quite pricey. And I think they’ll have a job bettering Umbro’s kits which have been immense for us.

Re: Castore Sportswear
The current Umbro kit is nice but probably the only other decent one I can think of is the 15/16 home kit. The last couple before this one were shit and I'm not a fan of our home shirts that don't have light blue sleeves, with a few notable exceptions.

Fila kits were all pretty good (homes anyway) and the home shirt between 01-03 was probably the last really good one, just a shame it's associated with us being shit and relegation.

I looked at the Castore stuff a while back and agree it looks overpriced for what it is.

We only signed a long term contract with Umbro a few months ago.

Maybe they’ll buy out the Umbro contract in that case, Lee?

Re: Castore Sportswear
English top-flight soccer club West Ham United have signed a long-term extension to their kit deal with UK-based sportswear brand Umbro.

As part of the deal, Umbro will continue as the Premier League club's official technical partner, supply playing and training kits for their men’s, women’s, and youth teams, as well as provide leisurewear for players and supporters.

The financial details and terms have not been disclosed, but the previous contract, signed only in May 2019 and due to run until the end of the 2022/23 season, was reportedly worth UK£5 million (US$6.2 million) per year.

Karim Virani, West Ham’s chief commercial officer, said: “The enhanced agreement represents the club’s continued commercial strength off the pitch, which ultimately is for the benefit of things on the pitch. The new agreement places it amongst the biggest in football in this country.”

Sam Lucas, Umbro’s head of sports sponsorship in the UK, added: “This further extension is really exciting news for Umbro and we’re proud to extend our agreement with the club. Our partnership continues to be built on the synergies between our Umbro brand and West Ham United as such an iconic football club.”

Umbro has been the club’s official kit supplier since the start of the 2015/16 season.

Re: Castore Sportswear
didnt Castore supply loads of moody Rangers shirts that they then had to refund?

They are all made in whatever globally based factory works the best (usually on price) for the brand.
The brand name is a mere bit of stitching (if you are lucky).

Re: Castore Sportswear
The Adidas kits were ok, though they were just templates in our colours.

The training gear was absolute pony however.

I remember the excitement when the deal was announced with people thinking they’d do a vintage collection of some sort, but no, just standard Adidas gear with the West Ham badge ironed on. Ironed not even stitched.

Umbro have been bang on for me.

Re: Castore Sportswear
You're embarrassing yourself again - you need to find something that you know more about to bullshit about. The adidas kits were bespoke designs, not templates.

Re: Castore Sportswear
They weren’t bespoke. Not sure if you’re aware of what a bespoke design is.

The Adidas kits were nice but they were templates in our colours.

Re: Castore Sportswear
Although it was just before my time for wearing one nothing will beat the 1980-1983 home shirt. Just perfect imo.

Will always have a soft spot for the 83-85 home shirt with the Avco sponsor in the centre of the sky blue bit. The first West Ham shirt I ever owned.
